Corboy & Demetrio a Proud Silver Sponsor of 69th Annual Hellenic Bar Assn. Scholarship Ball

Corboy & Demetrio was proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois Foundation’s 69th Annual Scholarship Ball on Saturday, Nov. 2.  At the HBA Foundation fundraiser, $50,000 in scholarship funds were awarded to help law students of Hellenic descent fund their education. The recipients include James Betzelos; Corboy & Demetrio intern Demitri Kladis, who is a 2L at John Marshall Law School; Alex Pappas; Constance Raftis; and Tom Thanasouras.
 
The HBA Foundation is the charitable arm of the HBA that gives back to the Greek-American community.  Besides hosting the Scholarship Ball, the HBAF promotes education by hosting an annual Law Day Essay Contest for elementary school children. Various students from the Chicagoland area attending Greek-American schools participate.
 
In 2015, Corboy & Demetrio Co-founder Thomas A. Demetrio received a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois and was honored at the Scholarship Ball.
