Corboy & Demetrio is a proud first-time sponsor of Herscher High School’s 26th Annual Swing & Sing, which will take place on March 18, 2017. The event showcases the best Jazz bands and show choirs in the community and throughout the Midwest. 15 Jazz bands and a record of 24 show choirs will take part in the competition to see who wins the trophy.
Herscher High school has been known for its incredible musical talent in the last 32 years. Its music department includes: Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Show Choir, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir Capella Choir and Orchestra. Swing & Sing is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the school’s music programs.

The Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL) is pleased to announce that serving as Honorary Co-Chairs of the 2017 Winter Awards Benefit are Darrell Guy, Vice President and Associate General Counsel of AT&T; Daniel M. Kotin, President of the Chicago Bar Association and Partner of Tomasik Kotin Kasserman; and Michael S. Smith, Managing Partner of Baker & McKenzie’s Chicago Office.
CDEL’s 33rd Annual Winter Awards Benefit will take place at Baker & McKenzie, 300 E. Randolph, Suite 5000, in Chicago, on February 23, 2017, and tickets may be purchased online at cdelaw.org. Anthony J. O’Neill, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, will serve as 2017 Winter Benefit Chair. Anthony is Past President of CDEL’s Board. Theresa Jaffe, principal of Theresa Jaffe Consulting. will be honored with the Impact Award for her extraordinary dedication and service to CDEL. Theresa serves as Vice President of CDEL’s Board and Chaired the Winter Benefit for five years with unprecedented success, breaking records for both fundraising and attendance. Under Theresa’s creative direction and management, the “Light Up the Loop” Winter Awards Benefit has become CDEL’s flagship fundraising event. Walgreens will be honored with the Corporate Partner Award for its exceptional assistance to CDEL and its clients. Since 2013, when Walgreens began its partnership with CDEL, more than sixty-five attorneys and other legal professionals who have been trained on drafting Powers of Attorney and Living Will Declarations for nearly 100 senior citizens who are clients of CDEL’s Senior Center Initiative (SCI) program. Volunteer attorney Linda Ochsenfeld will be honored with the CDEL Volunteer of the Year Award for her strong commitment to CDEL’s mission by providing an extraordinary level of direct pro bono legal service to its clients and achieving results that benefit clients and the community of low-income seniors and people with disabilities throughout Cook County. Sumptuous hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served as guests enjoy networking and Chicago’s magnificent skyline.
