 Corboy & Demetrio was a proud Philanthropic Sponsor of the 20th Anniversary Spring Awards Benefit for Lawyers Lend-A-Hand on May 28, 2015.
Our firm founder Thomas Demetrio also founded Lawyers Lend-A-Hand. He has also created and funds the Demetrio Award of Excellence, which is given to an outstanding non-profit organization each year. The recipient this year was Minds Matter, which provides both tutoring and mentoring for underprivileged youth in Chicago. C&D’s Rita Planera presented the group with its award. C&D’s Matt Jenkins placed the winning bid on having a Heisman Trophy to tote around for a week at the fundraiser’s live auction. Matt plans to take it to Minds Matter to share it with students there.
