 Corboy & Demetrio Attorney Michael D. Ditore was appointed to the Young Professionals Board of Good Sports on June 20, 2018. Good Sports is a non-profit organization that provides underprivileged children with sports equipment, apparel and footwear so that they can have the lifelong benefits of sports and physical activity.
According to Good Sports, participation rates in youth sports are on the decline, increasing the number of children in need of the opportunity to experience the benefits of sports. With the support of manufacturers, distributors and funders, Good Sports is able to supply the much-needed equipment and apparel to community organizations. Good Sports’ Young Professional Board works to promote and raise awareness for the organization as well as works with the leadership team to develop new fundraising opportunities and to secure sponsorships. The nonprofit has donated over $26 million worth of brand new sports equipment to underprivileged children across the country, supplying equipment that has helped more than 3,700 organizations.

Stevens Corboy & Demetrio is a proud sponsor of the Spinal Cord Injury Association's 14th Annual Golf Outing, which takes place on Wednesday, July 25th at Gleneagles Country Club in Lemont. Corboy & Demetrio Attorney Andrew P. Stevens serves on the SCIA Board of Directors.
SCIA, the Illinois chapter of the United Spinal Association, provides resources for people affected by paralysis. Family members, professionals and those living with paralysis can receive referrals, peer support, and information from SCIA. The organization’s Board of Directors is made up of medical professionals, lawyers, and others who advocate for those affected by spinal cord injuries. One of the ways that SCIA works to prevent spinal cord injuries is through its THINK FIRST injury prevention program. This program has been presented to thousands of students throughout Chicago. Spinal injury victims use their stories to educate others about how to cut down the risk of injuries.
