About Corboy & Demetrio Charitable Giving
Charitable giving and community service has been at the core of Corboy & Demetrio, a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, since the firm began over 50 years ago. We believe that “giving back” and helping others are fundamental responsibilities and obligations for all of us. The firm’s time, treasure and talents are shared by supporting a wide range of charities and community and legal organizations. Each group we support serves others in our community who are in need of information, services, legal advice, and/or financial assistance.
Our Co-Founder Thomas Demetrio created Lawyers Lend-A-Hand while he was President of the Chicago Bar Association, and he both created and funds The Thomas A. Demetrio Award of Excellence.
Corboy & Demetrio, a personal injury law firm based in Chicago, Illinois, was founded in 1952 by Philip H. Corboy and acquired its present name when Thomas Demetrio became a name partner in 1982. The firm has 14 attorneys and concentrates its practice in the area of aviation disasters, product liability, medical malpractice, construction accidents, premises liability, car, truck, bus and railroad accidents and other personal injury and wrongful death cases.
While the firm has enjoyed great success in the courtroom, it is equally proud of its legal contributions to the community and charitable and nonprofit organizations.
