Rev. Robert E. McLaughlin Faith Foundation

The Robert E. McLaughlin Faith Foundation was founded to continue and advance the vision and spirit of the late Reverend Robert E. McLaughlin. The foundation grants annual monetary awards to projects or programs within the Archdiocese of Chicago that foster the Catholic faith journey of teens and young adults.

Rev. Robert E. McLaughlin was well-known for his service to Chicago priests. He died unexpectedly in 2005 of complications from an apparent heart attack at the age of 64.

According to the Foundation’s website, “Fr. Bob was an extraordinary priest and man, who always lived in the present with a strong eye to the future. He was a dreamer and visionary who believed that we must invest in our young people because they are the future of the church. In every parish that Fr. Bob ministered, he either started a youth program or took the existing program to a new level.”
