Mercy Home for Boys & Girls offers residential, aftercare, referral and community-based mentoring programs. Mercy Home cares for more than 650 youths each year and provides a full-time residential program with around-the-clock care. The children in that program are between the ages of 11 and 21 and have suffered abuse, neglect, poverty and abandonment and are provided with therapeutic, academic and vocational support.
Mercy Home’s Leader Council sponsors the annual Mercy Home Leader Council Graduates’ Luncheon, which honors those students who receive the benefits from the Mercy Home’s educational programs. The Luncheon helps fund Mercy Home’s educational programs, including tutoring, tuition and books. According to Mercy Home’s website, “The encouragement our children receive through this event, and year around, is an incrdible source of inspiration as our youth work to reach their academic potential…”.
The Philip H. Corboy Foundation is a Summa Cum Laude Supporter of the Graduates’ Luncheon.
