Corboy & Demetrio lawyer Matthew T. Jenkins will speak about the importance of pro bono work at the Public Interest Law Initiative’s Summer Educational Seminar Series on Tuesday, July 10. The seminar –Integrating Pro Bono & Public Interest Law into your Career – will take place from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DePaul University College of Law. Lunch will be served at the seminar.
Jenkins heads the Pro Bono Department at Corboy & Demetrio, and at age 29, became President of the Board of Directors of the Center for Disability and Elder Law.
Each summer, as part of PILI’s Internship and Fellowship Programs, the organization sponsors lunchtime seminars for Interns and Fellows on a variety of substantive law and professional development topics.
Other panelists include LaShonda Hunt of the U.S. Department of Justice and Kathleen Clark of the Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing.
