Former Corboy & Demetrio clients Linda Ginzel and Boaz Keysar whose son Danny died in a portable crib at his day care, were quoted in a USA Today story about a new safety rule affecting portable mesh cribs, play yards and play pens used for infants and toddlers. Nancy Cowles, the Executive Director of Kids in Danger, the non-profit organization founded by Ginzel and Keysar, was also quoted in the story.
The new rule, voted on by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, tightens testing for durability and stability; sets a minimum height requirement for the sides; and requires locking mechanisms to keep the products from collapsing on children, according to the story.
