Attorney Matt Jenkins Selected for 2012 Chicago-Kent College of Law Young Alumni Award

Corboy & Demetrio lawyer Matthew T. Jenkins has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law Young Alumni Award.   Jenkins joined Corboy & Demetrio as an associate in 2008 and practices personal injury law in all areas including cases arising from automobile collisions, construction negligence, premises liability and product liability.  Matt received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007.

Jenkins will be presented the Young Alumni Award on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Standard Club of Chicago.  He is the Chair of the Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Young Alumni Committee, and his contributions to the legal community are numerous.  Matt is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Center for Disability and Elder Law.  He serves on the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee and Young Lawyers Section Host Committee.

In addition, Matt sits on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Judicial Evaluations for Cook County.   Also, Matt is Chair of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Young Lawyers Division and a member of the Lawyer’s Lend-a-Hand Auxiliary Board. Lawyer’s Lend-a-Hand, Auxiliary Board Member

Matt’s accolades include being selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer, Rising Star, for 2011 and 2012.  He was recently honored with the Chicago Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section, Rising Star Award for 2012.  Also, Matt was named IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, Public Interest Law Initiative Scholar in 2005.

While an undergraduate, Matt played football at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. in 2004.
